PHOTO OF THE DAY

The beauty never changes as todays photo gives us an amazing perspectuve from the fall to the kneepaddle in the foreground. It still captures a moment where we all share the stoke. Also a little shout out to Kelly Slater for his perfect scoring 10 yesterday in Fiji. The guy still amazes us all.

Well, Its been a while since I have had time to sit down and contribute to the blog. But tonight I thought I would make time. It has been an amazing journey while I still gather stories but came across tonights image and after listening to a story about Shaun Tomson from Photographer Shirley Rogers, I had to post it. Here is young Shaun on the North Shore.

PHOTO OF THE DAY

After having the opportunity to finally share the film with Photographer Bob Barbour I only felt it was appropriate to honor his talents. Bob spent many years on the North Shore capturing some of the most historic images as well as shooting some of the first published images of California's Mavericks. He's a great guy with great talents and today resides in Santa Cruz. Check out Bob's work at http://www.bobbarbour.com/

PHOTO OF THE DAY

I usually do not post an image over the weekend but felt like I needed to since yesterday was Bob Barbour's Birthday. I called Bob last night as he was celebrating with friends in his home town of Santa Cruz. Here is a shot Bob took of Rory Russell then someone captured the image of him exiting the water.

Happy Birthday my friend.
